I'm so pleased to find others who have read this "absolutely best fic ever written," the one that hooked me on fan fiction, the first I ever printed, to re-read at leisure. Each chapter a marvel. I adored them all, and have read them a jillion times (except for "Sick Kitties.")
My favorites were when they were stoned in the desert, and when they were in the red-neck restaurant.

The I HATE YOU scene made me tear up the first (and following 23849237891) time I read it. :(((

I remember reading this not so long ago. It was recced by the wonderful Grover and I loved every chapter. So funny and heart wrenching and all that other great stuff rolled into one story. One of the things among many that stood out for me was their visit to Las Vegas. Justin's description of the casino and its' occupants was spot on. Having been there in 2007 and not seeing the appeal in gambling I totally agreed with his thoughts. Brian losing all their money in a drunken stupor was kinda sad. Great stuff!!!

GUH YES! It's the perfect combo of everything I love in a fic. Those Vegas scenes were heartwrenching.

I read that fic on the plane flying to NYC 2 yrs ago.

I cried like a baby, & the "I Hate You scene" just kills me, but in the best possible way. Ive read over 2000 fics I reckon, but I still have my top#10 favs, & mostly are old fics, I do love the new stuff as well, just as passionate, it still amazes me 2 guys & a TV show, brought us all here.

Thanks for this, I was late to the party, I never even knew FANDOM exsisted :) I Googled Gale Harold & look where I ended up, amazing!! just the best thing ever, I'd never even been on a PC before, but I missed them, hated 513 & thought "I wonder if anyone esle feels like me", ,,like Duh!!

So glad lots of people felt like me, I still miss them every day, think of QaF or B&J or Gale, every freakin day. Truly I worry about me sometimes :D but I can;t stop. & now with our darling Gale recovering & hopefully seeing him soon, I never will.

I'm new-ish to the fandom, so I love getting introduced to the classic fic. That was truly wonderful.

As a side note, that website has a hit counter on it. For the last 20 days it had gotten an average of 4 or 5 hits a day. On 7 Jan it got 129! Nice work. :-)
