12 things that are making me happy even though I have a new hole in my mouth
1. I no longer feel like I'm gonna die, yay! Seeee ya wisdom tooth, wouldn't wanna be ya! My jaw is still throbbing, but I suspect part of that is from the bzillion shots I needed. I counted at least 20 jabs. Curse my inhuman resistance to numbing drugs!

2. My new BFF, Extra Strength Tylenol. I still dribble water out the side of my mouth when taking it, but I don't even care.

3. Pupsitting! One wiggly, pudgy body and Pug-snorts of joy at seeing me totally make up for less than a full day of Tooth Yankage recovery time before having to pack my things and come here for the week.

4. Gale's movie Passenger Side at the LA Film Fest! If only I knew I'd be around by then. GALE COULD BE THERE OMG.

5. Randy pics from The Singing Forest. His shirt is so thin. I was totally looking for nipple. )

6. My Barcelona boys winning things left and right cos they're awesome. Now to just nail the Champions League next week. I neeeeeed for this to happen, kthx world.

7. Watched Lost's fantastically mind-bending finale. Warning: ALLCAPS O' DOOM. )

8. Van's little soap-acting self getting nommed for a Daytime Emmy! \:D/

9. New Rob Thomas CD within weeks. Nevermind how the cover makes me think Rob is going to come kill me in my sleep.

10. The Phlochte luv, yo. I swear, Michael Fred's choice of swimwear will never not amuse me. FLOWERY NEON PENIS, YOU GUYS.

11. Finishing the coverart for Growing Up Kinney. Woot! That was giving me some serious stress. Next up is to read the first part of the Cancer Justin Has Cancer series and figure out how to tackle that.

12.

There's just no denying it when he does stuff like this for us. He thinks we're so gorgeous, he wants to kill kiss us, he wants to hug us...

new falling for grace review
"Lee and Harold generate no sparks, and their performances are abysmal."

I'll give her "no sparks" even as I go down swearing with my last breath that they were still v. v. cute together, but. Dude. "Abysmal"? Really? I'm docking points for that, missy. That's right, you heard me. DOCKING. POINTS. She did have a couple reasonable observations, one in particular about Fay needing to learn to get out of her own way. Even Fay admitted that much at the L.A. screening when she said she would second-guess herself.

But, yeah, overall, not too concerned with this review (other than wishing it had been glowing, of course, for both Gale and Fay's sakes) because this quote Lee plays Grace Tang, an investment banker and daughter of immigrant parents raised in Manhattan's Chinatown, who -- for reasons never adequately explained -- wants to hobnob with New York high society. pretty much illustrates that her popcorn must have been of more interest to her than the movie, as it is explained. Multiple times. The first time being at the start of the movie. In first person voiceover, no less!

So, yeah. Whatev.

whole article )

Also, it's frustrating how 9/10 movie sites spotlighting FFG have the old site eastbroadwaythemovie.com as the official link. :\

Anyway, then I was wandering about the internets and found this FFG article. Nothing exciting Gale-wise, but does quote an email from the brother of one of the movie's investors. Apparently he has a Q&A with Fay scheduled for after the July 28 showing... Y'know, that info seemed a lot more important when I found it adlfajs.

Let's mix things up here with a new Randy/Cuckoo review! "The heart of the play is the stuttering, fragile Billy Bibbit, played with delicate refinement by Randy Harrison." Delicate refinement!!! I swear, the press finds the best descriptors for Randy and his performances. :D :D :D

Okay, time to end on a high note, shall me? Mmm, we shall. A glowing FFG review from Tribeca last year. ♥

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but if you're on the fence about going vs. just waiting for a DVD release (as I've had a couple emails to that gist), don't let the recent *it sux omg* reviews keep you away. It really is "charming, sweet and has laugh out loud moments."

And, y'know. THERE'S GALE. :D

ETA: Movie spoilers in comments.

AND THEY USED HIS ANGRY ROOSTER PHOTO ALDFKJASLJ. Though v. fitting for the title, heh. Also, wow, he was the only one with a photo in a cast that includes Jonathon Epstein and Linda Hamilton. Go, Randypants!

• Also, new Playbill announcement for Cuckoo. Tis the boring info stuff, but it has Randy's name and that makes me all yay! )

• Gayest Sounding Teevee Show: MTV's improve show, Wild & Out.

Okay. Who gave me their cold?

Last night I rediscovered something about myself. Yes, I dug deep into who Ree is and what do you know... I actually will pee the carpet when watching oogy-boogy scary stuff alkfjasldfj. Turns out I'm not just not cut out for watching supernatural-esque shows. [livejournal.com profile] paddies tried to lure me to Hex, but ACK, GHOST! And now, OMG, [livejournal.com profile] marishna, I have failed thee. I tried with Supernatural, I reallyreally did. But spirits, omg, no no no no, plz don't eat me.

But banter! There was boy banter! I only saw a few minutes of it and can already tell why fandom is clutching those boys so tightly. Not to mention, ahem, writing about them clutching each other. Chemistry, mmmm. I didn't even seem to mind much that it was Gilmore-Girls!Dean I was watching. Which is a shocker enough, considering how much I glared at him back then. Anyway, if it weren't for the supernatural part of the show, I'd totally watch it (cos, hello, incest, yay!). Unfortunately, that's it NAME. So, um, no. :\

BUT I STILL LOVE YOU, POO NIPPLE. Even if your show does make me hide in a locked apartment with the alarm on. For all the good that'll do me, I've learned, OMGWTF. *pees the carpet*

randypants, my love for you grows like an excited cock
The stupendous [livejournal.com profile] starsandsmials found new (to me) theatre-is-my-life!Randy pics yesterday. I squeed. I flailed. It was rather noisy here, that's all I'm saying.

HOWEVER THIS ONE PHOTO REQUIRES CLOSER INSPECTION. PLZ NOTE:

But, wait, there's more!

sing it, sistah )

Glasses, jeans and hat alkfjdasljf. Also, I recognize that checkered shirt. :X :X :X

(YET MORE) ICONS ARE IN MY FUTURE, OH HELL YEAH.

Anyone know what production this is? I have a deep NEED to know what he is actually sing-yelling, kthx.

OH! And I survived another week at [livejournal.com profile] qaf_lims! Granted, I didn't have to actually make an icon this week because of the special challenge, but, eh, details.

And now I must go search for sustenance. *growling stomach rivals thunder outside*
