it just isn't officially summer until a mountain goes up in flames  

My neighborhood is on fire again. :| Proof I'm CA-born: After my initial "OMGAMGONNADIE!" reaction when I looked out the window this morning, I'm left with this omgsointense craving for BBQ adslja. The air just smells so good. So grilled BBQ chicken for dinner it is! Ohh. I can hear the flames through the 'copter sounds. Flames eating, oddly enough, sound like a lot of flags snapping around in a strong wind. Well, that's scary/neat!

DAYTIME EMMYS TOMORROW OMG. Van is up for an award, but I think I'm actually more excited that he and Jake are presenting. Here's hoping for inappropriate touching on stage. *fingers crossed*

We don't have fires here yet. Of course, that's because we still have snow in the mountains, and new snow fell as recently as last week even at 9000 feet. Snow squishes fire. Usually.
Anyway, stay v. v. safe & alive and all that!
I will totally be watching the Emmys and squeeing at Van. I can't share the Jake love. He IS pretty, but he can't act for nothing! Maybe he will seem fun as a real person and actually have more than 2 facial expressions:
1.befuddled and
2.seriously befuddled (distinguishable only by the one extra brow furrow)
Plus, I think Noah should be a nominee for worst soap opera boyfriend EVER.

I totally have a visual of a snowmen squishing out fires now adlfaj. ;D Things are dying down now. I survived the First Fire Of '08! ;D

I so want Van to win! You just know he's gonna look so darned adorable.

I might be exaggerating slightly about Jake/Noah's lack of facial expression. After all, this very week one corner of his mouth did lift up in an almost half-smile.
Van WILL be totally adorable, I'm sure, although I want to cut and color his hair and then mess it all up with my hands.
I hope he wins too!
I need to make Nuke icons!
