My friend lives in CA too and he tells me how the air is ashy at times because of the fires. I just can't imagine living like that. Gosh, I'd be so worried all the time!

Oh, gosh, I freaked when I first saw it! Then the yummy smell hit me aldkj. It helps that this happens several times every year. ;) Long as firemen don't show up at my door, I'm good. Not that I'd mind a fireman showing up, guh. I'd just rather actual fire weren't involved at the time. ;D

I know they were, but my memory is sucky, so I can't remember specific ones right off, but I DO remember them winning a GLAAD award--and promptly getting it taken away. GLAAD wasn't to happy they won apparently. :|

We don't have fires here yet. Of course, that's because we still have snow in the mountains, and new snow fell as recently as last week even at 9000 feet. Snow squishes fire. Usually.

What's eerie is that there's so much smoke that you can't see the few houses up on the mountain ridge. I had to wait until it all cleared to see if they were still there. O.o The firefighters saved the day! :D
