it's a bad month for readers
First JT LeRoy and now this. :| :| :|

I still love that book. For a long while in 2004, I was planning a rambling meta-esque thingie about James and addiction and Brian Kinney, but that never materialized. Like so many of my planned posts. Woe.

Is it wrong I'm all *shrug* about James 'only' exaggerating? I blame Mr. LeRoy, y'know.

Who totally wins this round by not, y'know, existing.

Blah. Must get some sleep now.

And once again I wish Randypants had a blog. THEN WE COULD KNOW HIS PAIN OMG. Until then, I choose to believe he and Gale got v. stoned and used JT LeRoy book pages to wrap the ganja.

Hello there, I'm glad to see you around! :D

My friend's reading that book right now and I was gonna snag it from her next. Wonder if the 'truth' will color my perception. *is v.v. deep*

Right now though, I suspect Mr. Harrison is somewhere being all emo and drinking absinthe.

Aww, glad to see you too, hon!

Sadly, it probably will. I read the book long before I even knew Oprah had chosen it for her book club, so I'd never heard any press on it. And really, times like this I realize I am naive like S1 Justin, because I never suspected anything was off.

Oh, Randy, the life of a fanboy is not easy. :(

POOH BEAR!!

I so bought that book 2 days ago. I wish my Autobiography class had included Frey last semester. It's so much more interesting than Gertrude Stein.

We must.

I have to finish The Da Vinci Code and The Time Traveler's Wife before I can get to it.

This is good. Gives me time to reread "Millions". And, hey, I have The Time Traveler's Wife sitting on my bookshelf, waiting for me. How is it so far?

I'm only on page 41, but so far it's really good. The style is really unusual and it'll be a little confusing at first. I already knew what to expect; a coworker informed me of the book and described the outline and how the story worked. I'm still getting used to the entire "time jumping/meeting people at various ages" thing, but I'm only on the 4th chapter or so. It gets easier the more you read. My roomie read it and said that once you get what's going on, you'll want to go back and reread the beginning, because you'll pick up on things you didn't notice before. :)

And while we're on the subject of books and because I'm such a big nerd when it comes to them, have you read anything worthwhile recently? I'm always on the hunt for something new and interesting. XD

Ahhh, good to know - I'm going to have to pay super attention!

Ohhh, fellow book nerd! ♥ I did start the memoir Name All The Animals by Alison Smith, but it's making me cry on like, every page. :(
