I'm like Salianne, I wondered a long time how to upload and use them... That's the stage I manage to reach.

But now I wonder, how do I credit the wizard who made the icons? I don't want to use an icon without credit.

Anyone can help me?

A quick instruction list (10 easy steps!) on how to use any of these icons when posting on LJ:

1. Save any of the icons that you like (either to your hard drive or storage device).
2. Go to the home page of your LJ.
3. Look for the dark blue menu bar near the top of the page.
4. Click on "Profile" and then "Manage Userpics"
5. A blue section will appear on the left-hand side of the page that says "Upload a New Userpic"
6. By default, "From File" is selected. Click on "Browse" and then find the icon you saved that you want to upload to LJ.
7. Make sure you enter a Keyword in the space provided (only you will see this; it's so you can find your icon later, in your list of userpics)
8. In the "Comment" section it's nice to give credit to the person who made the icon.
9. Click on "Proceed" and the icon will be added to your Current Userpics (shown on the right-hand side).
10. Next time you want to use that icon you just uploaded, when you're posting, click on "picture to use" above the message box, and select the icon using whatever keyword you gave it.

That's it!

Oops, I forgot to say that #8 is how to give credit... usually in the comment section, you enter the person's LJ name. If you want to actually code it, put < lj user="username" > (without the spaces, where "username" is the name of the person, like url_girl)

Thanks so much for explaining how to do the coding, as never knew that - only did this whole html thing for the first time when I posted my first fic and miracle_1 held my hand throughout and ended up fixing all my coding mistakes!
