the luke and noah (and gale) show
I zipped to the Kirk Douglas Theatre to see The Little Dog Laughed ... Sitting way in the penultimate row, hiding his scruffiness under a cap, was Gale Harold. Yes, the recently hospitalized actor is up and about. We can reveal exclusively that he’ll be returning to Desperate Housewives after the holiday break. --here

SCRUFFY OMG. All that info and that's what I latch onto the hardest, heh. I mean, we already knew he was fine and would be back after the holiday. BUT SCRUFFY OMG. Where are the Gale stalkers with their camera phones when I need them? I'm going to imagine he was wearing his choo-choo hat, seeing as it is only the greatest hat that ever sat upon his adorkable head.

And since I wasn't around to squee about this before, OMG 195 USERICONS. I can finally stop murdering defenseless icons to make room for others. Their tiny death cries were keeping me up at night.

ATWT time!

So, Brian and Luke seem to have hugged that bitch out. No good can come from that, heh. Lucinda is gonna have some heads when she finds out. And she will. This is Soapville. They always find out.

Gotta admit I loved the way Luke relaxed back to his old self once Brian took responsibility for the kiss. I still want Noah to punch Brian in the face, tho. Old dreams never die.

Oh, oh, oh. Okay, in the 12-11 ep there was that bar scene with the boys. Broke my heart.

L: I'm so lost right now. Especially about us.
N: Luke... I don't think...
L: And I know, I know you said that you didn't want me to push you. But could you please just think about giving me another chance?
N: ...I can't.
L: Noah, please.
N: I'm sorry. I gotta go.

I'm still not sure why Noah can't, but whatev. I rewound to wallow in the delicious emo and caught the background Nickelback song. (Listen to the "I'd come for you" line enough times and it turns totally dirty aldfja.) It done killed me all over again, especially when you add the lyrics to the dialogue as it aired like it was a fanvid.

L: I'm so lost right now. (just one more moment) Especially about us. (that's all that's needed)
N: Luke... I don't think...
L: And I know, I know you said that you didn't want me to push you. (in need of healing) But could you please just think about giving me another chance?
N: (time to be honest, ) ...I can't.
L: (this time I´m pleading) Noah, please.
N: I'm sorry. (cause I didn't mean it) I gotta go.

Ow, ow, ow.

Also, Noah's voice totally cracks at the end there. He misses his woobie. :( I miss The Luke and Noah Show.

You know what? Luke has been having a really good wardrobe month! Lots of jeans and solid colors and layers and winter vests. I just wanna hug him, guh.

Then yesterday rolled around. And it started off so good. Mmm, coat. He'd been hiking! Surely there's lotsa layers and yummy flannel and maybe, omg, if I'm lucky, there'll be a thermal shirt under that coat! He took his coat off and...

... *headdesk*

The Have Lunch With Van and Jake Auction went for $8000. Holy moly. For that kinda money, I'd definitely be asking them to make out with each other for that entire lunch.

Huh. My layout suddenly won't display links in pink anymore. Everything is showing up like a visited link. Stop being crappy, LJ.

but you know what's the best, Ree, my precious?

I don't know anything about that Little Dog thingy, but what this review (http://www.afterelton.com/archive/elton/theater/2006/1/littledog.html) said about the play's plot made me laugh for at least a whole minute.

Directed by Scott Ellis, Dog deals with what Beane describes as "sort of the last taboo - which movie stars are gay?" The issue of closeted celebrities is certainly au courant in today's media establishment (...).

The issue is also a nagging one, stuck somewhere in between gay rights, privacy rights and tabloid journalism's rights. It makes everyone uncomfortable and is in need of resolution. The Little Dog Laughed follows in the trailblazing footsteps of many other “closet” themed works (...) in shining some much needed light on the problem. Altogether such works help raise public consciousness to hopefully bring about a time when celebrities everywhere can simply be who they are.

Does poor Gale have to look for guidance in theatre?

... OK well, maybe Gale just likes theatre and sees every play in his area, but maybe it's not a coincidence that the first time someone sees him out of bed is at a play about living in a closet in hollywood? Huh?? You can't take my fantasy away from me! :C
