the facts are these...
Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money cancelled.

BRB, crying.

I'm a good month behind on watching what I have taped of them, but, dude. I can't believe this. Fuck you, ABC. And Fox. I'm still pissed about MadTV.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, quality is completely beside the point in decisions about tv shows these days. In this environment, Cheers would never have made it past S1.

Okay, pet peeve coming up:

I loved being apart of that show

Writers/editors of PROFESSIONAL forums: When you are "apart" from something, you are separated from it. When you are "a part of" something, you are as one with it. ARGH.

So true. I really hate the day the reality show genre was discovered to be cheap to produce and get good ratings no matter how shitty it was.

OMG THAT BUGS ME TOO. Though this time I completely missed it. Must've been all the sobbing that distracted me. ;D

Canceling Pushing Daisies is like ripping out a piece of my heart and baking it into a pie and letting the ABC execs eat it!

And I may have emailed them that in a fury last night.

THAT'S EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS. :(((

You go, girl! I keep hoping that we'll get news that there's been a reprieve, or another network picked it up or something.

OMG EX-PRIEST!BRIAN ICON. I love him so. He can't leave me. *cries*

Also, what's up with all the Brians on tv lately? IS HARD TO KEEP TRACK. Gay!Brian, ex-priest!Brian, dog!Brian from Family Guy, ATWT!Brian. Though I guess gay!Brian could fit him too. :|

I'm looking for repeats, yes.

I love Brian too. :( Best part of the show really. I gotta admit though, DSM has really taken a turn and I knew that they were going to since they've hired and fired writers about three or four times now. So, the continuity was going to be completely off. No Brian and his hot Asian wife (otherwise known as my girlfriend), his two kids, the Dutch mystery, Karen's humor and intelligence, Jeremy's fun loving nature and soft heart ...

I could go on, obviously. It's taken a different turn and it really didn't have that many viewers in season one and didn't pick up that many in season two. I'm v. v. disappointed (NO MORE CARMELITA!) and I hope that we get SOME kind of resolution in the next few weeks.

Also, yes! What is up with all the Brians? I guess it's just a popular name. I hear Brian on ATWT and then I get all confused. He's a big homo bear now anyway. >:|

I was BEYOND tickled when it was releaved he was Nick's brother. I HAD PRAYED HE WOULD BE. Their growly affection for each other is gold.

I hadn't realized they'd gone through so many writers! But that really does make so much sense now. What I've seen so far of this season, you can totally tell there's a different feel from the last one. I really think it hurt the Jeremy character when his twin (I so loved her on The O.C.) got written outta the picture (anorexia rehab, was it?). A whole side of his characterization was just... gone. Ditto with Carmelita and whatshisface. Whole side of him just GONE. ALSO I MISS HER. :((

Homo bear aldfja.

I love their growly affection. No matter how often 'I hate you' was said in Season One, it really never got old. Glenn kind of has wonderful timing and really spits out those lines as if they're really his words to say. Brava!

Yeah, I went to one of the Paley Center panel discussions for it and they were going through their second or third writer who came from Dexter. Then I found out that that guy got fired so it really lacked consistency. Yes! I definitely missed Juliet when she left because the twin dynamic was gone but she did have to get better in rehab. I didn't know it was anorexia! Although that makes sense.

Carmelita and Patrick. :((((((((((((((

And everyone else. What really sucks about the whole thing is tying up storylines. Hate when they cancel a show and what you have for the rest of your life are a bunch of cliffhangers.

Hee! Brian - the homo bear. I stayed up late last night watching happy Nuke moments. Made me happy. :D

I hate economic rationalism!!

OMG NO WAY!!! NOT PUSHING DAISIES!

It rapidly became one of my top favourite shows to watch, and now it's been axed? No. This is unacceptable. Especially since it's gonna end after Episode 13, which according to the show's creator, would be a cliffhanger. The worst thing to happen to a critically acclaimed TV show other than being canceled prematurely? A PERMANENT CLIFFHANGER.

What the hell is going on at ABC? They've been making a lot of drastic decisions lately. They dropped Brooke Smith abruptly, forced an end to a high-profile lesbian relationship on network TV, and axing a few quality shows? Geez. Did they get new people or something?

It's all so frustrating. The cliffhanger thing just makes it worse, bleh. And I'm sorry, but no way is a comic book going to make up for it. I really hope he shopped the show around to other networks first. :\

Oh, god, I'm STILL pissed about the GA thing. Hahn was an incredible character and then they send her off, and not only that, but do it with THAT script? So pissed off.

Bleh, wish I knew. It's downright ridiculous over there right now.

I KNOW RIGHT?!!!!

(Stupid LJ posted this comment before I could type more)

Not even all the comic books in the world could possibly compare to the magic that is Lee Pace's eyebrows and pouty lips!

Hahn was definitely one of the best characters on the show. :( I don't know what the hell is going on with GA. I mean, corporeal Ghost!Denny? WTF.

I'm so tired of falling in love with unique shows only to see them axed after one or two seasons. :| :| :|

I was just talking to my friend about MadTV, being in Australia it was some what of a late night tv (ie 4am) gem that we caught and latched onto, but not many ppl here know about it. We were just wondering if it had finished or not, when has/will it finish(ed)?

Aww, MadTV. ♥ Their 14th season is airing now in the U.S. and production wraps in Dec. I'm still holding out that another cable network will pick them up. I just can't deal with them being off the air forevers. :(
