The summer is about to get a lot hotter as AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) presents its 22nd Summer Party on Saturday, August 4 at “The Lot” in West Hollywood.

Legendary divas Thelma Houston and Tiffany will headline on the 104.3 KBIG outdoor concert stage, while Showtime Networks will create the Queer As Folk dance party with special cast appearances on a soundstage. --here or here

Dude! There's gonna be a QaF gathering of Babylon proportions this weekend! Please see to it, fandom, that we have stalker operatives fans already in position behind every available palm tree and slushee stand and hired go-go dancer, and that all the entrances and exits are under surveilance should Gale and Randy show up. We're gonna need coverage on this, people. Stay alert and quick out there! Randy has been known to carry sharp objects and isn't afraid to use them. Bring back reports and make me proud.

Even though we all know there's no chance they're gonna be there askjda. BUT SHUT UP COULD HAPPEN. You watch. Soon as we think they won't be somewhere, we're gonna see it on some random TV blog how they were spotted making out behind the stage or something and we will be all *shakes tiny fists at them* for being wiley enough to escape us.

And someone tell me there's some awesome singing drag queen named Tiffany that I'm not aware of. Because if teen-80s-singer!Tiffany is considered a legendary diva now, I'm going to require some alone time to bang my head against my desk kthx.

Two things I'd bet good money on:

• Who will show up. My official guess: Hal, Hal, Hal, oh, yeah, and Hal. Robert, Peter. And Thea. Cos, y'know, there's gonna be an open bar and all.

• The v. high odds that this will show up as an upcoming DVD "extra".
