studio 60, i love you
I am so going to miss this show when it leaves me like Brian missed Justin when he went to Hollywood. Only without the awkward phone calls.

S60 )

• I reallyreally hope we get a S60 DVD set. I had a case of the stupids when I didn't tape all the eps in order to save. Silly me didn't think the show would get cancelled so damned fast. :| But, well, NBC did put a lot of money into the show, maybe they'll try to get some of it back through DVD sales? I don't think there's any more unaired eps to entice us with after this current teevee run, but STILL. There's bloopers, right? And they could do some ep commentary and throw together some interviews and maybe even get Aaron to explain some things, like why the first coupla eps made me wanna repeatedly poke myself in the eye with a pencil if he mentioned religion one more time.

• Our odds of getting a Vanished DVD set are pretty low, aren't they? :\

The new S3 cover art for The Office makes me peepee. Do rag lakfja.

• I heart Tiny Fey like yet another of my multiple teevee girlfriends, but my hate for Tracy Morgan pretty much kept me away from 30 Rock all season. I just... no. But I've been catching the reruns this summer and LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH OMG. The key is just fast-forwarding as much of Tracy as possible! And forgetting all that E! coverage on Alec Baldwin's "OMG U SUX, DAUGHTER O' MINE!!!11" voicemail alkdfjas. Cos, wow, he's seriously hilarious in this show.

that show where gale got to run around like a charlie's angel. mmm, good times, good times.
When Vanished premiered, it hit the ground running with a slightly less than remarkable one-hour debut that exploded (literally) introducing us to a laconic misanthropic FBI agent Grahm Kelton, played by Gale Howard (from Queer as Folk fame).

and

(And I was JUST talking to [livejournal.com profile] qaffangyrl about this Howard thing a couple of days ago and THEN IT HAPPENS ALDKJASLJ.)

whole article )

Remember back when we were all excited about Gale having his own show? *wistful*

And, hey, here's a TV Guide article on Vanished that I musta been too pissed off about forgotten to scan back in Oct. Mentions the infamous Gale-is-a-diva rumor. *amused*

galeness

• Somehow I missed this photo when it made the original rounds, d'oh. Gale purdy. *skritches his beard with my nails* But, heh, reading his body language, I just can't shake the feeling that if the shot were wider, we'd see the gun being held to his back. OMG GALEFACE RELAAAX - THE CAMERA WILL NOT STEAL YOUR SOUL.

[My friend in charge of the MySpace site/marketing to colleges] has told me that from what they have been told Gale will be at the LA Screening of the movie. He will be at the TFF in NY on May 2 and than will leave for LA the next day.

ALDFKJASLFKJASLDFKJASDFLJ. Gale and I will be sharing air kthx. ALSO GETTY TORTURES ME WITH NO PHOTOS YET OF HIM AT TFF. WHY THE HATE, GETTY, WHY THE HATE. :((

• My [livejournal.com profile] qaf_giftxchnge assignment kicks ass, whoo!

Gale is a "rather dishy" hunk in this new Vanished article, but this we already knew.

• Picspams are full of pixely goodness, y'know. ♥ All I ask is that you spare me the details of how that one pic of Gale's back made you flick your clit until it threw sparks or how Randy's hair made you bounce harder on your dildo. TMI, PEOPLE, TMI.

Justin returned from the bathroom and stared at his husband. "So, what do you want to name this baby?"

Brian looked to the ceiling searching for the answer. "I was thinking, if it's a boy, Sean Michael and for a girl, Seanna Michelle. They both mean God's Grace and who is like God."

Cos you know how close to God that Brian is. :|

ETA: I am ded. [livejournal.com profile] malli_ keeled me. Check out Gale's next project as that little known superhero, Fisting Man!

right now josh berman and his notebooks are unemployed *cackles*
Gale Harold fans would like you to believe that the on-screen death of the show's leading man lead to the ratings collapse, though issues of quality and Friday night audience size were probably equally complicit.

It was totally us. You know it was.

WE ARE POWERFUL LIKE RANDY'S SERIOUS ACTOR DIRECT GAZE INTO A CAMERA.

next week's tv guide gives fox a cheer. no, really. )

BUT OMG MOVING ON TO BETTER THINGS -- I HEAR TALE OF MR. HOWARD AND HIS SPESHUL BLOND HEAD DOING HIS STAGE ACTING THANG TONIGHT IN THE SAME CITY AS ANOTHER SPESHUL BLOND HEAD. I AM V. EXCITED OKAY.

So many spoilers. And long. Like, loooong. I got started and couldn't stop talking aldjfa. But there are screencaps!

107 )

But until then, some 105/106 thoughts since I did a catch-up mini-marathon in prep for 107.

How does Rebecca Gayheart not know that I do not care about her fire and was only suffering her and Carson Daly for some Gale dirt? I AM V. DISAPPOINTED IN YOU, REBECCA.

Anyway, I just watched Vanished 104...

I'd say Randy is under that table.

and I've decided two things... )

nip/tuck )

Did anyone watch Smith, that new CBS show? I have it and Studio 60 taped for later. So much to watch, so little time. And all the shows haven't even premiered yet, oy.

vanished out the wazoo
Want proof how busy I've been? I haven't watched this week's Vanished yet. *cries* And I've been avoiding spoilers since 102, so I'm extra ancy to see who blows up all over Agent Kelton this week! (Seriously, there's a reason he is not part of the Bomb Squad. *BOOM*) Of course, my being smrt and not taping the right channel didn't help. So, yeah. Been downloading. *drums fingers impatiently* Meanwhile, I've been obsessing on Gale and recent Vanished articles.

Okay, see, there's this sex column, The Erogenous Zone, written by Justin Brook Taylor. And she's adding a new monthly(ish) feature: Sex Symbol Spotlight. AND GUESS WHO IS THE FIRST PROFILED -- WHY YES THAT WOULD BE OUR V. OWN PANSY-NAMED GALEFACE THANK YOU V. MUCH. *fondles [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdgirl for sending me this article* I may have started barking/pumping my fist at my monitor like I was at an Arsenio Hall taping. Fear my inner 1989 fangirl!

This week, I'm shining the spotlight on the delicious Gale Harold. Aside from being afflicted with a pansy name, this man has got it all-smarts, skills, and sex appeal.

His every feature, from those penetrating dark brown eyes to his shapely arms, combines to form a beauty that can only be described as divine. He's got a jawline sharp enough to grate cheese, big pillow lips, and an ass so beautiful that it should be framed and put up on the wall in the houses of every woman and gay man alive.

YOU KNOW I AM GOING TO CALL HIM "PILLOW LIPS" NOW.

the full fangirl article )

OMG, get this. Both the site and article refused to load for me the first 374619 times I tried the link, so I did a search for the site and Gale's name for a fresh link, right? And it totally popped up.

BUT LOOK AT WHAT THE FIRST SPONSORED LINK IS ALKJFSAL. )

And then there was another Gale interview (yay!) and along with me being tickled that once again he's laughing while answering questions, there was this quote:

He’s also prepared for viewers who may pester him for information about what’s coming up.
“I know quite a lot, but I don’t know everything there is. I’m not going to tell anybody anything,” he said with a laugh.

Translated into Galespeak: I totally know, and you may think you know, but you don't know and I know that even I don't know, you know?

the whole article that mentions the uglynastyevil rumor )

And then there was that one Vanished rumor reference that made me frown )

Alas, no Pillow Lips news in next week's TV Guide (aside from the usual Monday description). My scanner and I gave each other woeful looks. But what did catch my eye was this in the Ausiello Report.

cos if the rumor is true... )

I've been listening to Fergie's CD as I write this post and, wow, it is so bad. I like 3 songs outta 16 and one of those is with the Black-Eyed Peas. Oh, Fergie, I love you, girl. But not even your peepee pants could save you now.

And, okay, more I think about it, the more I like it: Brian (not Mr. Taylor) secretly wrote a website sex advice column. YOU KNOW HE DID OMG. "Dear Doctor Dick..."

not cool, tv guide fall preview issue, not cool.
Well. Guess there was no photoshoot for Gale & Co. after all.

Vanished is spotlighted, but it's down in the corner, quotes no one but Berman on Eddie, and uses a photo from FOX's old hotel promo shoot. At least the photo includes Gale.

The Buzz: "This kidnapping is part of a larger conspiracy," says creator Josh Berman (CSI). Soon Invasion's Eddie Cibrian will join the cast as a supervising FBI agent. "He's strong, passionate and driven," Berman says, "without the baggage that Kelton carries."

We Say: Though the mystery is intriguing enough, it takes a touch of genius to attain the propulsion of similar shows, like 24.

The Outlook: With Prison Break as a lead-in, Vanished shouldn't be banished too soon.

Lukewarm hope is better than outright dissing it, so that's something. And, well, thank god Eddie's character has no baggage. You know how we viewers just hate a multi-layered character. :|

The second scan is a recap of the show so far to help newbies catch up, the third is the show making it to the Hot List. Oh, and I didn't scan it, as it was just a small box of text, but Matt Roush comments on Monday's lineup with Vanished and CW's Runaway, "THE BIG BATTLE: As two new serialized thrillers go head-to-head, the odds favor Fox's Vanished, which unearths a deadly conspiracy after a senator's wife disappears." And for what it's worth, they don't think Kidnapped will last.

Also, I am v. v. v. v. excited about Studio 60. And Heroes. And The Nine and Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters. Cos, y'know, I do not watch enough TV aldkj. HURRY UP, FALL SEASON.
